We have found that the internal combustion engine is only superficially more economical, as the cost of maintenance, fuel, oil change, filter, spark plug and general overhaul over time are enough to make it considerably more expensive than the electric motor, which is only more expensive to buy initially than low-end imported models.

The electric motor is:

• Economical: a day's work for the operator has only the cost of recharging the battery (if it is really flat) which is on average 60 cents for the use of a wheelbarrow;
• Safe: it allows the operator to work without creating excessive strain on the body and without breathing gases that are harmful to health, and in total silence;
• Long-lasting: a machine has a long life, long enough to repay the initial cost and long enough to obtain numerous benefits from the purchase itself.

We opted to use batteries with gelatin acid technology (agm-gel) as standard, despite the fact that they cost slightly more than free acid batteries.

The advantages are:

• Safety, in the event of the casing tipping over or breaking, there is absolutely no spillage of liquid, hence no pollution;
• Shorter charging times than with free acid batteries;
• No maintenance required;
• Low self-discharge, unlike free acid batteries where self-discharge is very high;
• Long life, with many more charge-recharge cycles than conventional batteries.

They have an average life of 800 recharge cycles at 80% use, equivalent to approximately 4 years of professional work. Wgreen Technology has also chosen to use standard batteries, which are readily available on the market for replacement, so that its customers do not have to depend on more expensive custom-made batteries.

Easier done than said!

Just like a simple mobile phone battery, when the on-board computer indicates it needs recharging, simply unplug the correct socket in the car and charge the battery using the charger supplied for the hours necessary for a full, self-managed recharge.

Yes, they are an optional extra on many of our heavy-duty models, and we use lithium battery packs designed to maximise performance for all our models. Some heavy-duty machines come with lithium battery packs as standard.

Wgreen Technology is the only company to offer four different types of traction to meet everyone's needs in the professional sector. In fact, using just one type of traction offered by other companies can limit the operator's work.

Traction with oil-bath gearmotor with integrated differential, the classic solution for many general-purpose applications, has traction problems on difficult and slippery terrain.

Traction with rigid axles and chain final drive maximise power output and offer unbeatable traction on difficult terrain or mule tracks.

4-wheel drive traction, offered on some special vehicles with customer requirements for traction on low-grip terrain (mud, sand, snow). This type of traction is available both with axles with differential and with traction on each individual wheel, a solution that provides maximum traction on any terrain and slope.

Patented Wgreen Technology traction, a system developed by us to offer a machine that is highly manoeuvrable on all terrain, combined with automatic traction locking to avoid situations that would otherwise be impossible to negotiate.

The standard machines are lightweight, weighing between 80 kg and 140 kg, depending on the model required and the customer's needs.

Apart from their light weight, the machines have dimensions that allow them to be easily transported and above all adapted to the type of work to be carried out, proving to be both operational and functional.

Machines that can work on the flat, in front of slopes, machines that allow you to have your hands free so that you can work without worrying about your health and especially your work, machines that can pass through narrow spaces thanks to their size, even taking care of bean plantations, machines for weeding, that can also be used in greenhouses, all based on your requests and the space you have available.

Each machine is equipped with standard tyres suitable for agricultural land or specific to the type of work the customer needs.

Depending on the technology applied, the electric motor may require checks every 500 hours or so for brush wear.
